Special From Trgovich Racing

Dixie Motor Speedway up next for Josh Nelms and Trgovich Racing

Lockport, IL (June 15, 2011) - It’s been a battle all season long for the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour when it comes to Mother Nature. So far it’s a tie at 2-2 between races completed and races rained out. For Josh Nelms and the Trgovich Racing Team, they’ve continued to roll right along with the series despite the constant battle with the weather.

At the last JEGS/CRA event, the Anderson 100 Presented by JEGS.com at the fast ¼ (0.250) mile high-banked paved oval of Anderson Speedway in Anderson, Indiana was too host the newest series within Champion Racing Association (CRA) on Saturday, June 4th.

Unfortunately after Keyser Manufacturing Qualifying, Mother Nature made another unwanted appearance, thus forcing JEGS/CRA and Anderson Officials to postpone the event to Saturday, July 9th. Prior to the rains, Nelms qualified eighth quick and would’ve started the 100-lap main from the outside of the fourth row.

"We qualified good at Anderson, had a great car. Wish the rain would’ve held out so we could have gotten the race in. We’ll go back in July and hopefully we’ll do well." Nelms stated. Going into the Anderson race, Nelms was in a whopping five-way tie for ninth in the season long point’s chase with Jack Smith, Justin Matson, Cole Powell, and Wes Griffith Jr.

That five-way tie for ninth stands pat with the next event on the JEGS/CRA inaugural tour is set for this Friday, June 17th at the 4/10s (0.400) mile progressively banked d-shaped paved oval of Dixie Motor Speedway, located North of Flint in Birch Run, Michigan for the running of the Dixie 100 Presented by JEGS.com.

"We’re looking forward to going back to Dixie. We always have run well there with the old Northern Late Model Series. Two top 5's in three races. We’re also the track record holder in the old USPRO Cup Series." Nelms ended.

After the Dixie event, weather permitting, the next two races on the JEGS/CRA Schedule are the two make-up dates for the series beginning on Saturday, July 9th at Anderson and then the following weekend on Saturday, July 16th at Illiana Motor Speedway in Schererville, Indiana; Trgovich Racing’s home track, for the event that was rained out back on May 14th.
