June 19th - The day started out with the team bringing the car out to the Dixie Dash in Steger. (pictures to follow) Many people were there to see the stock car along with all the classic and antique cars. The team arrived at the track and unloaded with the miss from the week before gone after finding a bad spark plug. Josh was 5th out to qualify adn ran a blistering lap of 20.66 good for his first career fast time in a Mid Am car. Josh started 10th and worked his way up to finish 5th. Josh is also currently leading the Fast Heat points. The feature had him starting in the same spot. The race had the field running side by side for most of the race and Josh worked his way up to finish 5th.

TWO IN A ROW

June 12th - A hot muggy day was in store. We arrived at the track early and the parking lot and pits had a lot of water in them from the previous nights storms. Josh went out and practiced and was happy with the car. He qualified 3rd quick with a 21.05. The car had a miss that john Zapp looked at. In the heat Josh started outside 3rd row and worked his way to the front and made a pass on the outside on the last lap and finished 2nd. He started inside 5th row in the feature and worked his way to the front on lap 12 and held the lead till the end fighting off challenge from Jack Kalwasinski to win 2 in a row and maintains the points lead.

June 5th- A beautiful day that started out early. Josh arrived at the Kolbe house around 9:00 a.m. to finish up the car because of the short work week. They left for the track and unloaded the car and practiced with making hardly any changes. Josh was 4th out to qualify and ran a 20.86 good for third quick only .03 seconds off of fast time. Josh started 4th row outside and worked his way up to finish 3rd right behind the leaders. In the feature he started 4th row inside and wasted little time getting to the front and taking the lead on lap 18 on setting sail to score the first feature win for CJ Motorsports of the season.

Josh ran 2 different cars in 1 weekend.....

May 29th - illiana speedway may 31 - Kalamazoo Speedway

May 29th - A little rain in the morning wasn't enough to call the races. We headed out to the track and unloaded the car to practice. The car was quick but a little on the loose side. We tightened the car up and went out to qualify and ran a 20.88 the team's new fastest lap. The car is getting better and better. Josh ended up 4th quick. In the heat he started inside 4th row and moved up to front using the high side and and finished 2nd. The feature had Josh in the same starting spot and he worked his way up to finish 4th in the caution free event.

May 30th - Josh headed up to Kalamazoo Speedway to race his dad's 76 Monte Carlo in the 300 lap enduro. Well, Sunday was not meant to be as the rain fell all day. The race was held on Monday at 2:00 and at 1:50 a storm rolled threw and dumped and inch of rain and hail in 15 minutes. After the storm passed the race began the first 100 laps was wet. Josh stayed moving nicely staying in the top 20. About lap 100 Josh cut down a tire and had to pit. Once the track dried Josh stayed out turning laps and had another flat with about 30 laps to go. Overall Josh did 274 laps and finished 16th overall out of 53 cars.
